Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles, hilarious characters from the smash hit TV show Trailer Park are coming to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall!
Trailer Park Boys is a mockumentary television series about the misadventures of a group of people living in the fictional Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Created by Canadian director, producer, and screenwriter Mike Clattenburg, the show is based on the eponymous 1999 film he also wrote and directed. It revolves around trailer park residents Ricky LaFleur (a fun loving and dim witted low life played by Canadian actor and screenwriter Rob Wells), Julian (a newly released ex-con played by Canadian actor John Paul Tremblay), and Bubbles (an awkward looking and shed dwelling guy, played by Canadian actor and musician Mike Smith) trying to make money through petty crimes while avoiding the police. Things don’t go according to plan because the park's vindictive and alcoholic supervisor Jim Lahey (and his assistant and lover, Randy) get in the way. Hilarity ensues as Ricky and Julian's incompetence is matched by Lahey's drunken incompetence. The show premiered in 2001 and has become a huge hit all over the world. Its lead trio have toured with Our Lady Peace, Guns N' Roses, and they’ve also been presenters at many award shows (where they’re always in character).
