Haim (stylized as HAIM) was formed in San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles) in 2007 and it consists of Este Haim (bass), Danielle Haim (guitars and lead vocals), Alana Haim (guitars and keyboards), and Dash Hutton (drums). Their musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), pop rock (a genre that originated in the 1950s, influenced by the beat, arrangements, and style of rock and roll but with a greater emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft), soft rock (a subgenre of pop music that largely features acoustic guitars and slow to mid tempos), and rhythm and blues. They’ve had a stellar career with 1 studio album, 1 extended play, 6 music videos, 6 singles, and they’ve collaborated with Calvin Harris, Stromae, Lorde, Pusha T, Q-Tip, Brandon Flowers, ASAP Rocky, Major Lazer, Kid Cudi, Electric Guest, and many other renowned artists. Their latest album (Something to Tell You) comes out on 7th July 2017.
